Avra - Castle View

Our room with the name Avra, which derives from the Greek word Aura, meaning breeze, has a wonderful view up to the ruins of Feraklos castle, a Medieval fortress, which overlooks the enchanting bay of Haraki.

Entry to the apartment is through the pretty courtyard, where you will find a delightful private seating area. Here you could sip your coffee over breakfast al fresco in the mornings, or share a bottle of local Greek wine in the evenings under the light of the castle ruins as you imagine what life here was like hundreds of years ago.

Leaving the courtyard, and as you step inside Avra, you will see that this bright, fresh apartment has been designed with one of the two sleeping areas situated on a mezzanine floor, very much in the Rhodes Lindian style, which is reached by a wooden staircase and overlooks the main living area. This upper sleeping area has twin beds located on parquet flooring, a window to allow the breeze, after which this apartment is named, to flow through and curtains at both the window and the wooden balcony to provide privacy.

Downstairs the apartment has cool tiled floors throughout. The main living area has twin beds, a bedside table, and a double wardrobe, a window out onto the courtyard, and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, for those evenings when you want to just chill out in your home away from home. There is also a wooden seat as well as a dressing table with mirror and a wall-mounted hairdryer.

The bathroom is bright and airy, with a shower, toilet, sink, and plenty of storage space for your holiday essentials. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you will need for a comfortable self-catering holiday, for those days when you don’t want to go out and explore the traditional local tavernas. Everything has been thought of for your comfort – microwave, stove-top cooking rings, fridge-freezer, toastie maker, filter coffee machine, and that all-important kettle.

An ideal apartment for your home away from home holiday.
